Description: MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Preparation of Mine Plans and Development Schedules

- Monitoring the Mine work plan to ensure compliance with ore body sequencing, grade and tonnage.

- Compiling and publishing actual performance compared to monthly, quarterly and annual mine plans.

- Ensuring that tonnage and grade specifications are adhered to.

- Proposing methods for the continuous improvement of the systems to ensure efficiency in meeting required targets.

- Assuring the accuracy and integrity of ore quality


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS:

- A Graduate Degree in Earth Sciences, Geology and/or Mining Engineering or related discipline.

- Minimum three (3) years experience in high volume extraction Mining and Hauling operation.

- Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills.

- Competence in database management, ore grade planning and blend modeling, haul road design and planning.

- Relevant computer application skills.

- Ability to work on own initiative

Experience in the use of Arc View GIS will be a distinct asset.
