Job Description



Position Summary:
Plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of goods received from suppliers to ensure smooth and consistent operations to satisfy customer requirements.
Evaluates current and proposed systems and procedures utilized in the warehouse, makes recommendations and leads implementation.
Monitors the operations of the Warehouse for efficiency and safety.

Core Responsibilities:
Manage people, processes and systems to ensure that productivity targets are realized
Maintain of the warehouse to ensure efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
Ensure that stock control systems are adequate/current and inventories are accurate
Ensure that the machinery and equipment used have the ability to produce goods and services for the client at an acceptable standard.
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Maintain above average health, safety and hygiene standards in the work environment
Maintains warehouse staff complement by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Liaise with Purchasing regarding inventories at or below reorder levels.
Request and complete counts for goods in order to reconcile or validate stock levels
Ensure the receiving and off-loading of containers are carried out safely and timely.
Create warehouse transfers and dispatches products between warehouse to satisfy customers’ needs
Track and coordinate the upkeep and maintenance of the company’s distribution fleet.
Performs any other job related duties as assigned.


Associate degree in Management Studies/Administration or equivalent qualifications
Minimum of two [2] years work experience in warehousing, preferably in the
Electrical/Hardware industry, at a Supervisory level or equivalent
Ability to prepare and present reports
Sound knowledge of Inventory Control and Management
Strong team orientation
Detail oriented and consistent in meeting deadlines
Sound knowledge of warehouse and equipment safety procedures & Health and Safety Regulations
Excellent organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
In depth knowledge of space utilization
Proficiency in Microsoft programmes including Excel
Ability to operate in a competitive environment and multi-task
