CAREER OPPORTUNITY FOR JUNIOR ENGINEER


Position Summary:
To promote awareness or use of alternative energy sources and conservation through energy audits by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. In addition, personally make contacts and secure new business accounts/customers.

Core Responsibilities:
Identify energy saving projects and make recommendations to achieve increased energy efficient solutions.
Conduct jobsite observations, field inspections, or sub-metering to collect data for energy conservation analyses.
Monitor and analyze energy consumption.
Prepare drawings and or system specifications to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Oversee project production efforts to ensure projects are completed timely and within budget.
Direct or coordinate installation or maintenance of energy systems, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
Provide consultation to clients or other Engineers on topics such as energy modeling, data logging, energy management control systems, lighting or day lighting design, sustainable design, and energy auditing.
Develop budgets, estimate labour, material, and installation costs.
Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measures.
Investigate or test vendors' or competitors' products.
Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
Participate in trade shows and conventions.

Requirements:
Accredited Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
At least 2 years’ experience working in the field of Engineering (work experience/internship would be considered)
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook & Projects applications
Knowledgeable of Engineering software such as AUTOCAD
Ability to identify energy saving opportunities and make recommendations
Ability to assist with designing or constructing energy solutions related to management, conservation and sustainability.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills, professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Ability to travel island wide and conduct site visits as assigned
High level of confidentiality and credibility

Candidates MUST own and operate a reliable motor vehicle.
Selected candidates will be required to submit a Police Record prior to employment
